The Importance of the Internet Search Engines for many Franchise Owners

For those of you that are not aware, there have been some major changes to the way ‘search results’ are presented by the major Internet Search Engine in the past couple of weeks. It seems to have caught a lot by surprise however the changes have been well documented as “coming” since April 2010. If your Web Guru has noticed it, and acted on it you will of course not be affected by these changes.

There some other major shifts in that Local and National Directories will no longer have the impact they once had in search results and I explain this as many local and national firms use these Online Directories in order to boost business, or at least create a presence.

Some in the Search Engine business are claiming that these changes are an abuse of power and that they should not be allowed to make changes like this. The reality is of course nothing is going to change. However by not taking some action today to secure your position within these Search Results you will be harming your new business production possible for a long while. See the thing is for many firms it will take sometime for any site to optimisation to flow through.

So with effect from later October 2010 the world has changed somewhat and with the level of searches now being carried out on all of Search Engine you really cannot afford to ignore the stream of business that this one medium could provide.

All you need to do is the following:-

1 Check that your site is on the F I R S T page of all the major search engines. If not Phone your Web Site Designer ask them why, note the reasons and then contact me in order to discuss them – I bet we disagree.

2. Deal with the issues surrounding your Internet Presence.

3. Ensure you make it easy for prospective customers to contact you.

4. Wait for the calls and do the business.

5. Sit back and wait for the money to come in.

Of course I know it’s not that easy but at least it beats pushing that paper around your desk over the quietest couple of months of the year for many firms, and 2011 is not far away.

So make the call, lets get cracking on some of this and lets make 2011 one of your best years ever. It is possible.
